If you like superhero films chances are you’ve already seen the brand new Wolverine Film.

It’s the awesome prequel to the cult X-men series from Marvel Comics, telling the story of how Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman and how he became a extremely dangerous mutant through a government experiment gone wrong.





Guaranteed this is going to be one of the biggest costumes for 2009 and perfect for any Super hero themed fancy dress party.

In our search for health, safety and a bit of a laugh we teamed up sleuth reporting journalist Mike Hogan from Dublins 98fm and his super hero side kick – Orlaith; to discover the litigious implications of wearing clown shoes in work. Hence last Friday Night live on Dublins 98 was a little wackier than usual.

This rather random situation came to light when a Russian clown was banned from wearing his clown shoes as they were deemed a health and safety risk (i wonder if he was still allowed carry his over sized mallet??). Anyway Mike called us to test the theory and with hours the clown shoes were ready for testing in the radio studios. After all it was win win, either he falls on his face (and we laugh) or he successfully looks like a complete clown (…and we laugh).





The best part of it is that Mike got very attached to the shoes in the end – keep an eye out – Mike Hogan in clown shoes, coming to a LUAS near you soon!

There has been a recent surge in Fancy Dress Costumes as a theme for weddings, throwing out the old formal rituals and getting back to the basics – having a memorable day.

Pregnant Heidi Klum and Seal renewed their wedding vows last Saturday (May 9th) in a white trash theme’d costume party at a friends beach residence.

The jury is still out on whether the idea of dressing up takes from the seriousness of the marriage or adds to the whole ceremony – setting the tone for the future one of fun and memorable happiness.

We always find it really amusing when we have a visitor from outside our industry to the office. This morning we i was giving a tour of our warehouses and facilities to a guest and they were perplexed that even at this time of year Adult Fancy Dress Costumes are in demand. So i thought for anyone who doesn’t get the appeal of a random fancy dress costume to liven up someones day, here’s the simple psychology behind it – when your dressed up as someone else, its harder to be yourself.
