The ‘Roaring 20’s’ theme is going to see an array of Flapper dresses, Charleston Costumes, Gangster Costumes, Wellies, slick bob style wigs, Flapper bags and the works. At the risk of us seeming obsessed with Mario and his friends we came across this article and just had to post about it for two reasons. One that it’s Mario and Two because it’s coming into the festive season and we thought instead of putting Santa right up there we’d ease you in slowly.
So, the idea behind the creative Christmas tree is that for an office party some colleagues decided to “dress up” their boss’ desk to look like a Mario game level. They decorated the tree with character decorations, lights and then added a Starman light to the top. The rest of the desk had characters stuck onto the walls, it’s really creative. We just love seeing people being so imaginative and having their own take on Christmas.
Have you ever seen a Christmas tree this creative? I’m thinking this year our office will have to do something amazing and wear our Santa Costumes!
Without a doubt, the most requested costumes for a themed party is the 80′s. A simple idea, with plenty of costumes and accessories that can suit the theme perfectly. We made it simple and dedicated a whole area to the 80′s theme on the site but here are just some of our ideas to get you started:

The Mercury Phoenix Trust are encouraging all fans of Freddie Mercury to mark September 3d 2010 in their calendars. The day is being marked to celbrate Freddie’s birthday on September 5th. Fans are encouraged to dress up as Freddie Mercury as a homage to the legendary rock star and to raise awareness and funds for the fight against the AIDS disease.
To participate, why not throw an event yourself with an 80′s or rock star theme and raise funds or pick up a Freddie Mercury Costume with us?
Mark your calendars, Sunday May 16th is the Anniversary of everyone’s favourite 80′s movie- Top Gun. In 1986 Tom Cruise was on our cinema screens in the classic.
Why not mark the date by throwing a Top Gun Party, or a Navy themed party with our collection of costumes.

There has been a recent surge in Fancy Dress Costumes as a theme for weddings, throwing out the old formal rituals and getting back to the basics – having a memorable day.
Pregnant Heidi Klum and Seal renewed their wedding vows last Saturday (May 9th) in a white trash theme’d costume party at a friends beach residence.
The jury is still out on whether the idea of dressing up takes from the seriousness of the marriage or adds to the whole ceremony – setting the tone for the future one of fun and memorable happiness.
