Halloween is finally here! The time of the year when eerie is fun, gory is interesting and fear is the key word. With celebrations all over town, it is going to be one spooky evening.
The West Minstown Garda Club in Clonsilla, Dublin, is going to add to the spice of Halloween. Foot-tapping band performances, finger-licking food and traditional Halloween games will set the tempo for the evening. To add to this is the prize for Best Costumes!
Experiment and explore, TheCostumeShop.ie is your playground. Whilst the children have a gala time with peculiar costumes and masks, you could indulge in some uncanny treats yourself. Kicking off on the 29th of September, this 4 day Limerick Zombie Festival has got the wannabe-waking dead shrieking (in delight). Don’t let the crazies frighten you though; it’s all for a good cause. Money raised from this event goes to a local charity, the Cliona Ring Foundation. It’s good through and through!
The 29th of September shall see a Bloodbath in Dolans at 9pm. Alongside, there will be umpteen other events taking place in various venues of the city.
Come Friday, the 30th, there will be fun talks, movie screening and gigs towards the evening. The main day being the 1st of October shall witness events, parties, gigs and games for kids as well as adults. Gracing you with their presence will be bands, dancers, magicians and other fun personalities. Finally, rounding off this 4 day weekend is the Zombie Hangover Feast (how apt!) at Pier One Hotel and a Skazzombie gig. It doesn’t get much better!
Invasion and the Emerald Garrison are returning to Dublin for an even bigger and better show, taking place Easter weekend 23rd, 24th and 25th of April. Taking place in Hall1 from 10am – 6pm each day.
Fans will be able to meet their favourite characters and have photo’s taken with them with full-size recreations of the movie sets in the background. This fun filled family day is ideal from Kids from 9 months to 99 years. And ofcourse to really get into the spirit of the event why not show up in costume from one of our huge range of Licensed Starwars Costumes such as some of the below:

This Halloween, parties and events are everywhere. If you’re thinking of hosting your own party, why not do some good at the same time?
The ISPCC works tirelessly to protect and support Ireland’s children. To do that, they must have funding. The ISPCC has come up with the idea of the “Halloween Hoolie” should you wish to help them gather some much-needed funds.
The “Halloween Hoolie” is a Halloween party hosted by you in a venue of your choice in aid of the ISPCC. Register with the ISPCC to host a hoolie and they will send you a free pack including posters, balloons, stickers and hints and tips to make the party a success!
To make it that bit sweeter, TheCostumeShop is donating 10% of the funds for costumes and orders bought for the “Halloween Hoolie”. To get your costumes for the event or to register your interest, head over to the ISPCC website for information.
One of the great things about working in a costume shop, is the fun had with customers when they come to our store and get to see some of the costumes. Even more fun is the customers who come in determined to cause some mischief in their newly obtained costumes.
Two customers (names unknown) were so delighted with their new purchase of Morphsuits for an upcoming match that they decided to change right there and then into them to create some fun in the town. So, of course some staff (including yours truly) joined in the fun and grabbed a camera since the boys were so willing to have a laugh!

This costume promises to be one of the big sellers for this year. Its extremely comfy to wear and can be worn on a day to day basis as well as being an easy solution for any costume party. The visibility is excellent, it’s comfortable to wear with the zip up or down and is ideal for bring along on skiing holidays. Make sure to order this one early as stock is severely limited.
From 1997 to 2001 children’s television experienced the wacky adventures of Tinky Winky (purple), Dipsy (green), Laa-Laa (yellow) and Po (Red).
