From the 28^th of September, the massive O2 Arena in Dublin will be packed with some serious action. Batman is going to hit the stage with Batman Live!

This visually stunning production has got it all, from a brand new original storyline to larger than life action.  It’s not just a musical; it’s a totally different experience altogether. It’s hard to believe we’re into 2011, but here we are!

2010 was a really big year for costumes, with costume parties becoming more and more popular. From hen and stag parties, birthdays, festivals and community events, costumes and accessories are really becoming a fun and cheap way to throw a party!

As always Pirates are a major costume theme. With the release of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, pirate themed parties are sure to stay a firm favourite.

Another big movie due out this year is Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Prepare for there to be a rush on all things vampire! Fake teeth, official Twilight costumes, fake blood, Twilight contact lenses and anything else to make that perfect Twilight party theme.

Also taking a major jump in popularity last year was the Superhero theme. With movies like The Green Hornet, X Men and many others set for a 2011 release expect to be attending a few Superhero events.

Not wanting a conventional wedding, a couple in the UK decided their wedding theme was to be “comic book idols”. The groom dressed as Batman, the bride as Wonder Woman on their wedding day and invited their guests to follow suit and don fancy dress costumes.

Among their guests were Iron Man, the Hulk, Wolverine, Superman and of course, the bridesmaids: The Power Puff Girls!

With the movie “Kick Ass” doing really well in cinemas, super heroes have never been more popular, with everyone wanting to mimic their favourite hero or heroine by donning their super hero costumes.

The comedic movie, based on the Marvel Comics’ Icon imprint book centers on a high school nerd named Dave Lizewski who decides to become a superhero named “Kick Ass” even though he has no powers, ability or coordination. Things change when he runs into real bad guys with real powers and the adventure starts.

Super hero costumes have steadily been popular amongst our customers. Whether it’s Superman, Batman, Wolverine, or how about involving the kids as  Supergirl and Spiderman?
