We would like each customer to be a 100% confident in making purchases from TheCostumeShop.ie. If a customer is not satisfied with a purchase on our site we are happy to offer a full refund on the price of the costume once returned within a 14 day cooling off period, as per the Consumer Rights Directive.
Should a customer have reason to return a costume they must enclose the email received from us after filling in the Returns Form or include their name, order ID, date of delivery and reason for return. This will facilitate us to process the refund promptly orders returned with no information provided cannot be refunded.
Please note that we do not encourage the type of shopping where more than one item is purchased with the intent of trying them on and keeping just one. If a customer requires advice on sizes or styles they can contact our customer support for assistance.
Please note that returns and exchanges cannot be processed over the counter at the pickup point. However items may be dropped off at the pickup point to be processed by the returns department later.

If a customer wishes to return a product bought on our site we must be notified via our returns form or written letter within 14 calendar days of receiving the item(s) in question. Item(s) must be returned to us within fourteen days of such notification. Item(s) must be returned in the condition they were sent. Returns must include all parts of the original item to be eligible for refund. Packages must not be torn. Costumes must not have been worn other than to try on. There must be no trace of perfume, smoke or any other odour. DVD's and decorations may be returned as long as they have not been removed from their packaging.
Costumes that are received outside the returns period will be eligible for a credit note, subject to receiving the goods within thirty days of the order being received. There are no exceptions made for orders returned outside the returns period.
Returned goods which do not meet the above criteria will be considered as 'In Dispute'. In Dispute products will not be refunded or exchanged. A reason will be given as to why the product is in dispute. We are happy to re-ship such items back at the customer's cost otherwise they will be destroyed after 30 days. Shipping and packaging costs, both to and from us, will remain the responsibility of the customer. Refunds will be for the purchase price of the costume only.
For hygiene reasons there are no exchanges or refunds on personal items such as - False Teeth, Wigs and products including wigs, Stockings, Tights, ManKini's, Underwear etc.
We offer a collection service for all our customers, should they wish to avail it - this can be purchased from the link sent in the email you receive after filling in the returns form. Please be advised this service is only available in Ireland.
During our busy seasons of Halloween and Christmas, please allow up to fourteen working days for refunds to be processed. All returns must be accompanied with a copy of our returns form to facilitate us to process the refund promptly.
The customers' statutory rights are not affected.
