How do I determine the correct size for me?
The sizes or our products and hallloween costumes are given on the website in standard Irish/UK sizes. Where products are sized by age sizing information is given in their descriptions.

How do I know if an item is in stock?
All items that are shown on the website should be in stock. We do not display out of stock products.

If an item is out of stock, can I still buy it?
If you wish to purchase a product that is not on our site please contact us and we will do our best to source it.

What forms of payment does TheCostumeShop.ie accept?
You can pay online using Paypal and all major credit/debit cards but not American Express or Diners club.

What taxes will I have to pay?
Within Ireland and the European Union Irish VAT is included in the price. If you are VAT registered in another member country of the EU contact us with your VAT number and we will arrange a refund.
If you are ordering from a country outside the EU you may be liable for local taxes and import duties when the goods are delivered. You should seek local advice.

Can I check the status of my order?
Within Ireland you should receive an email with a tracking number on it when your item has been despatched. To find out where your order is please enter the full number https://dpd.ie/tracking

If you setup an account when you pay you can check on order statuses by clicking on “Orders” under the “My Account” heading on the left hand menu and signing in. If you click on the order number that you are interested in and then the “Shipment Information” tab you will find your tracking information.

How do I know if my purchase has been confirmed?
When we receive a completed order we automatically send a confirmation email to the email address supplied at the time the order is placed.

I'm not comfortable buying online. Can I buy from TheCostumeShop.ie different way?
Unfortunately for security reasons we cannot accept orders over the phone. We also do not store cash on our premises as all our transactions are handled online, through our website.

Can I try on the costumes in store?
No. Our collection point is not a shop and does not have the facilities to allow you to try on costumes.

I am told my credit card was declined, can I still place an order?
In most cases a credit card is declined because data has been entered incorrectly. We recommend that you to try place the order again through our website, double checking all digits entered, card number, expiry date and CVV2 number.

If the card is still declined you can order by post. Simply send the product code, description and size and/or colour of the item(s) that you require, your full name and address, an email address and a phone number that we can contact you on. You must also send payment via cheque, bank draft or postal order. We are an online store and strongly encourage you to place orders through our website. We cannot hold stock for order that are sent via post until we receive payment so there is always a chance that stock will be sold out in the meantime.

You can return or exchange the costume to us, subject to our returns policy.

Unfortunately we cannot offer same day delivery.

If I place my order today, when will I receive it?
We offer a variety of shipping options depending on your location. Within Ireland if you choose Express shipping and place the order before 4pm it will be delivered the next working day, our Standard shipping takes 1-3 working days and the SuperSaver delivery can take up to 4 working days.

Does TheCostumeShop.ie ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to many countries in Europe and throughout the world including the UK, all European Union countries, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. If you cannot see the country that you require on our drop down list when you try to place your order please contact us for a quote

How are shipping charges determined?

Do you ship to BFPO addresses?
No unfortunately our couriers cannot deliver to any military addresses.

Can I arrange a time for my order to be delivered?
No, due to the routing and scheduling of our couriers it is not possible for us to commit to a specific time for your delivery.

Can I change the address the costume is being delivered to?
No, once an order has been placed it is sent to our warehouse for processing and an address label is printed automatically.

Can I collect the costume?
Yes we have a collection point at our warehouse in Portlaoise. You should wait at least 4 hours from the time that you placed the order to pick it up. The pickup point is open Monday-Friday from 9.30am to 5.00pm.

I paid for standard delivery, but need the costume urgently, what can I do?
You can upgrade to Express Delivery. Within Ireland if you upgrade before 4.00pm your order will be delivered the next working day.

What if there is a problem with my order?
Subject to certain terms and conditions you can return the items to us for an exchange or a refund.

How do I send back the item(s) I want to return?
If you wish to return a product bought on our site we must be notified via email or written letter within 14 working days of receiving the item(s) in question. Item(s) must be returned to us within 5 days of such notification. Item(s) must be returned in the condition they were sent. Returns must include all parts of the original item to be eligible for refund. Packages must not be torn. Costumes must not have been worn other than to try on. There must be no trace of perfume, smoke or any other odour. Unless item(s) are faulty the shipping costs back to us will be the responsibility of the customer.

How long will it take to receive my refund?
Usually refunds will be back into your account within 5 working days after we receive the returned item(s). At our busiest times of Halloween and Christmas this might stretch to 14 working days.

Are there any products that I can’t return?
Yes, for hygiene reasons there are some products that cannot be returned. These include False Teeth, Masks, Wigs, Stockings, Tights, Borat ManKini's, Eye Lenses, Underwear etc.

Can I exchange my costume in your collection point?
Yes, but you will need to set aside at least an hour and a half for the new product to be picked and packed.

Will we be added to a mailing list if we register on TheCostumeShop.ie ?
No you have to opt-in to our mailing lists when you checkout. No customer information is ever sold, rented or shared with 3rd parties. From time to time we email customers who have opted to join our mailing lists with our latest offers and news. All our emails include a 1 click removal at the bottom of the email, ensuring you can be simply removed from further offers we may send.
